Day off

Bonjour! x

To be honest, there is no day where I’m not ‚on the go‘ & even when there would be one without traveling - no not gonna happen. I love it and so do I today! It’s sunday and I’m currently in CZ. In less than 3 hours I’m back to VIE for some chill hours with bæ and translating my portfolio.

If you travel a lot you have this mental plan of all the things you need and have to take with you. It’s like a disease, you don’t want to think about it - but you do. Since the point where you wake up until you finally put your things together. On the one hand super helpful - I’m never ever forgetting something - on the other hand super annoying.

So I hope y’all enjoy your sunday and survive tomorrow!

Carlita at the Modelcamp by Unique One

Bonjour! x

Some weeks ago, I got an e-mail from my agency. Twice a year they are setting up a modelcamp in Prague for the new faces and models who will maybe „become a part of the Unique One family“. We work together with various experts and brands on things like catwalk ( 7-8 h in total - ouch ), casting outfits, posing, working abroad, make-up, hair etc.

It sounded exciting and like I’ll learn many things and spend an amazing time ( I really did! ).
So I booked my hotel, train tickets and planned a Follow Me Around.

Friday 20.3.2015

Departure at 13:07 - Vienna Main Station - Arrival 17:48  - Prague Main Station

Off I go

Long story short: I listened to music, read #GIRLSBOSS and slept.
After I finally arrived in Prague, I got me coffee ( obviously ) and then took the metro to my hotel.
The whole modelcamp took place in Smichov, Prague 5. It’s on the left side of the river Vltava near to Andel.

Florenc

I stayed at ibis Mala Strana, which is really nice to be honest. I unpacked and enjoyed the super fast wifi access. The next day is going to be super long and hard but I can’t wait!

Saturday 21.3.2015

Meeting point is at the shopping center Novy Smichov - Holmes Place at 9 a.m.

This was my schedule for Saturday:

11.15 - 12.15 - Fitness and clean eating

You can’t even imagine how tired I got „home“ and how much my feet hurt ( even now ).

Sunday 22.3.2015

Same meeting point and time! It’s my last day here so I packed, checked-out and got me coffee to wake-up. After we all arrived our first meeting was about to begin. This day is also charged but not as long as the day before! I poorly have to go a little bit earlier to catch my train back to Vienna.

My schedule for Sunday:

(studio 2)

I will make an extra post on this when the pictures are out! Stay tuned for that!

Travel Bucket List for 2015

2014 was definitely a travel year and so should 2015 be. I’ve set myself some goals and thought I’d share them with you...

1. FRANCE

After almost a year when I first went to Paris I miss the beautiful french capital so much. Paris is just... ahhh ! I love this city so much.

2. PORTUGAL

I’ve never been to Lisbon even though it is not that far from Porto ( 2 car hours ). I have seen many pictures and felt in love with those little cute streets, the amazing view over the city from some points and the bright colors! Definitely a must for 2015!

3. GERMANY

Berlin callin’! It’s so near to Vienna, why haven’t I already visited it? The city of casual and effortless chic paired with an attitude.

4. SWISS

Next neighbor country of Austria where I haven’t been. 10 train hours away from Vienna, could be worst! I’ll be for sure visiting Zurich and maybe Lausanne.

5. IRLAND

This goal is one that I haven’t achieved in 2014 so it goes on to my list for this year. Luckily I already have booked my stay there - JUNE 2k15 is all about Dublin and Cork.

6. SPAIN

My family wants to spend the summer holidays down there, why not? I never had something against sunny Barcelona or Sevilla !

7. LUXEMBOURG (not sure)

I need to visit one of my best friends in Luxembourg and after I have found out that there is a direct train connection I’m setting this for on my list.

8. NETHERLANDS (not sure)

Amsterdam is such a beautiful city full of fashion, street style and life. I hope I’m going to visit this city this year.

9. CZECH REPUBLIC

Even though it’s my home country I never really spend more than a day in the capital Prague. Therefor I’ve already booked my stay - APRIL 2k15!

10. POLAND

Krakow and Warsaw are so beautiful cities and only some car hours away from my home in CZ. I’ve only been in Cesky Tesin for a couple hours, which was really nice but I want to see some more of this beautiful country.

11. MILANO

Do I have to say more?

Today

Spontaneously decided to head to Brno (later also Znojmo) for some shopping today. I was looking for a basic black top ( because you can’t find one in Vienna... Nice excuse huh? ). I ended up with Tezenis, Sephora, Reserved, CCC and Nike.
#shithappens

BUT I found what I was looking for and I’m super proud because of that. Mostly I just go for one particular thing and I return with 10 other things thinking „I’ve to go shopping.. I need something.“

OH MY GOD!

You can’t imagine how happy I was today. A Starbucks Store opened in Brno - Olympia.  I’m in heaven!!
You’ve to know that there are only two stores in the Czech Republic. This is the third and the nearest one to me.  To hear such news after a super busy week is in fact more than heaven for a coffee and starbucks addict like me... .

Collective HAUL - Beauty and Fashion

I did some damage over the past few weeks and I thought I would share with you!

2 days before I left to Rome I wanted to accompany my best friend at her little shopping spree, of course I could not resist... My first bargain was a card holder by Mango. Later I popped to H&M where I found a sweather for cold days in Rome ( which actually came very useful ).

 „Actually not that tragic.“

48 hours later I landed in Rome and did what I can do the best. Shopping. I started at Piazza di Spagna at Sephora. These items went immediately with me.

On the go Feeling

Is there anyone else who thinks about life and their current situation when they are on a train or is it just me ?

I'm on my way to Vienna right now, watching people getting off my train. I've to admit that every time I'm travelling by train I get these deep thoughts about life and my past days.. 30 minutes ago I was thinking about the beauty of Rome, my current relationship and how much I love him ( going to see my bae tomorrow ! ) and that feeling I get when I'm just 'at home'. I can't stand that. I've realised that travelling is more than important for me. Don't matter if by train, bus, plane, car,.. I just have to be on the go. I love the feeling of going somewhere, seeing a place - either a new one or a beloved one -, meeting friends and of course go shopping. I feel nervous and bored if I don't have to go somewhere. People, my boyfriend for example, loves being just home and I hate it. I told him my plans for the winter holidays, Brno, Znojmo, Prague, Rome, Vienna,.. Everyday was planed and for nearly every day there was a destination. He said it seems stressful but for me THIS are true holidays.

I may be complete crazy or obsessed but that's ok !

In the Czech Republic we have a saying that says that it's good to be away but being at home is the best. I've never had that feeling. It's the complete opposite for me. Traveling, meeting new people, learning new languages, discovering new cities. I feel more 'home' in a foreign city than at 'home'.

I've that cosmopolitan feeling that no mater where I am I feel like I'm belonging there and I'm living in that city for at least 10 years. Even though I don't know the way I feel like I do, I feel like I walked these streets a hundred times, but in fact it's the first time I've ever stept on this pavement.

Weird huh? Am I the only one?

30.12.2014

We got up early and went straight into the city. Amazing! It is so  beautiful to see Rome this calm and peaceful before thousand of tourist rush trough its little streets and across Piazza del Popolo.

Speaking about Piazza del Popolo. It was our first stop, after that we got straight to the Piazza di Spagna and then took the Metro A until Cipro - Vatican. Even though the state of Vatican has only 44 hectar it is full of history, architecture and beauty. Piazza San Pietro was quite peacefull at this morning hour - it was about 8:30 I think. The church was one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen.

After the visit we decided to have breakfast and then I went shopping at Piazza di Spagna and down these little cute streets like Via Borgognona because I NEEDED to go to &otherstories! I love this store so much !

We spend some nice time in Rome and then we took a cab to our hotel.

31.12.2014

We spend the last day of 2014 discovering the antic part of Rome - Centro Storico. It was extremely cold because of the icy wind but after I went upstairs at the underground station Colloseo and the first thing I saw was the huge and majestic colosseum in front of me, I forgot about the weather ( and made cca. 40 selfies in front of it ).  We took a stroll around the Colosseum, Cavour and the Forum Romanum. There we got our ticket and visited the ruins and monuments.

After a nice lunch, we strolled to a beautiful church and later visited the colosseum from the inside. I enjoyed it so much.

From 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. we relaxed at the hotel, then got ready and were out & about to Circo Massimo. Because we couldn't get a cab we decided to take the metro.. Huge mistake on NewYear's Eve. The stations Circo Massimo and Colloseum were closed caused by the millions of people in Rome. So we got out at Cavour, looked for a place where we can spend the next hours until midnight and make the last evening of this year a nice one. After searching and letting me speak with the hot security guy, we got a table at this hipstery looking bar in front of the colosseum.

What would be New Year's Eve without champagne? I've to admit, we were quite funny after the whole bottle.

1.1.2015

The firework was amazing! As we know, Italians do it better! A M A Z I N G ! However the highlight of this night or morning, was the call from my boyfriend saying he's going to love me even more in the new year... ( Aww ! ) and the NewYear's letter by my best friend!
Looking back, 2014 was the best year ever since!

At 4 a.m. we got finally home, because we can't just leave after the firework. At 7 a.m. I had to get up..I've to admit that it was an interesting morning..

Around 10 a.m. we took the hotel shuttle to Cipro and waited for the pope to appear. I'm so thankful for this moment in my life, that I was right there hearing him speak and wishing us a happy new year full of peace. I'm never going to forget this!

Later we decided to spent the last day here with the romantic part of Rome which means Pantheon, Castel Sant'Angello, Piazza Navonna and Fontana di Trevi.

What’s in my travel carry on?

I thought I’d do a „What’s in my bag?“ before I leave to the airport because I do travel a lot and some people struggle with packing and not forgetting half of their things at home. So here are my travel essentials...

I’ve chosen a huge black bag as my carryon because I want all my important stuff nearby. The most important things are my iPhone, iPad and headphones. I just need them. Further I always check twice for my passport (id card), wallet and flight tickets obviously. For boring times during my flight I take a book with me, this time it’s „How to be parisian“ by Sophie Mas. ( I recommend! ) I need my glasses to be able to see my gate number at the airport and my sunglasses.

In my little beauty bag I have my sleep mask, eye drops, a handcreme, make-up remover whips, a lip balm, a lipstick (obviously), a manicure, oil control paper and a little mascara. Okay, it’s not really a beauty bag, just a pouch with my essentials!

Without my charger, I can’t leave the house so I double check! #iphonestruggle

The last things I drop into my bag are a water bottle plus a little pillow and I’m good to go!

I wish you nice holidays and a Happy New Year! During my stay in Rome I’ll be working on a Follow Me Around, so stay tuned!

F I R S T S N O W

Even though I hate snow it’s beautiful to wake up, look out of the window and see that everything is white. Christmas in Europe was like the perfect easter weather and with sun and not even one single snowflake but after the Christmas days and everybody ( except me ) wishing for snow, it’s finally here.. Cold, wet and icy. However it doesn’t bother me, because I’m spending New Year’s Eve in Rome with no snow and no freezing temperatures.

Today is my last day surrounded by snow, tomorrow at 2 p.m. I’m leaving to Rome to celebrate the end of an amazing year and the beginning of a new one in Italy. I’ve never been there so I’m going to enjoy every second, shopping till I drop and sightseeing in between!
Just now I’ll start packing and taking a walk with my dog through the Winter Wonderland.

As much as I’ve seen on Instagram, snow felt nearly everywhere in Europe ( there are some exceptions like Italy :D ) so I hope you enjoy it!

Day Trip to Vienna #feelingspendy

11 a.m.

Off to Vienna!

But first.. Coffee! There is no better highway coffee than the ONE at Viva on A5 (CZ - Vienna).

On the go lecture. This was one of my Christmas present and I felt in love with this book, even though I just read the first 40 pages. It's written in this slightly sarcastic way. I just love it. I love everything which has something to do with France and Paris... Paris je t'aime <3

1 p.m.

Arrived in my flat. After a quick touch up, I'm off again to see my best friend and for some shopping.

Graben here we come!

4 p.m.

Way too much shopping happened today... . But I really enjoyed strolling through the first district with my best friend and photobombing the tourists selfies. Vienna can be so beautiful sometimes... .

5 p.m.

Heading to my next meeting! As always I'm late because another little beauty shopping spree just happened and let's be honest, I'm always late.
I'm meeting a good friend at Starbuck aka my second home. I swear I live there like I'm constantly at Starbucks. Wherever I am in Vienna, I always know the nearest Starbucks.. It's just my obsession.

8 p.m.

On my way back home to CZ. Bye Vienna !

F R I Y A Y

Other people would be on their way to the club, I am sitting on my couch designing a new header for my blog

„Normal is boring.“

Plus it’s Christmas time, the most beautiful time of the year. Why spend it in a small and loud club? It’s the season where you are allowed to stay in bed all day and eat cookies ( or bake own ones? ).
You have New Years Eve for clubbing !

Speaking about the last party in 2014, where you are going to spend it? I’ll be five days in Rome, working on a Follow Me Around and enjoying gelato at the Forum Romanum!

I wish you a nice evening and a belated Merry Christmas!
xx
